Manager, Safety Operation

About the department
The Safety Operation Case Management area in Denmark have three Case Management teams, each consisting of 15 highly skilled and motivated employees. The main responsibilities for the team are to perform case entry and initial medical evaluation of individual case safety reports from our clinical trials, involvement in cross functional activities and collaboration in clinical trials, training activities and involvement in continuous improvement projects. We work in a dynamic environment supporting the entire development portfolio. We do so in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders including colleagues from Novo Nordisk Safety departments in India, US and global development.


The area is situated in Safety Operations, one of the functional areas in Global Safety. Global Safety is responsible for meeting global regulatory requirements for handling and reporting of individual case safety reports and for the surveillance of safety and quality of Novo Nordisk clinical development and marketed products.

The Job
You will be responsible for the management, performance, and development of employees in one of the Case Management teams. Your role will be to motivate and support employees through sparring on decision making and ongoing prioritization. You will play an active and important role in setting direction for the team and contributing to cross team initiatives, alignment and projects. You are willing to share and collaborate, and you take pride in supporting your colleagues in achieving joint targets.


Working in a global organisation, you are expected to show a high degree of initiative in seeking interaction with colleagues internally as well as externally in order to secure collaboration and alignment cross-organisationally.


Qualifications
You have a Bachelor, Master degree or equivalent, preferably within biomedical sciences or related discipline and experience in pharmacovigilance. Furthermore, you are expected to have people management experience from the pharmaceutical industry or a strong aspiration to become a people manager.

Personally, you work independently with decisiveness and good analytical skills. You have a sense of initiative combined with empathy and the ability to support and engage your employees. You have a positive mindset and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

You are a team player with an open-mind, with cultural awareness and excellent communication skills and are comfortable using your fluent written and spoken English on a daily basis.
