As Supplier QualityEngineer (SQE) within the Castings commodity, you’re a natural team player withleadership capabilities. You will be working close with commodity managers andsuppliers with a shared target to secure qualified deliveries from qualifiedsuppliers. You will be working in a multi-cultural environment with differentdepartments locally and globally. Networking is a key for success. You willalso be addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, andimplementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.
HowYou’ll Make an Impact
- Supplier qualification with across-functional supplier qualification team, including assessment of suppliercapabilities and initial auditing of suppliers in the assigned supplier basefor (sand / hand mold) castings
- Lead cross-functional teams toperform Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) according to applicableprocess descriptions and standards. Support the suppliers to follow SiemensEnergy Quality Management Process and usage of related tools.
- Monitoring of supplier qualityperformance
- Initiate and implementsupplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis andimplementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the suppliers.Track implementation and effectiveness of measures. Monitoring of correctiveand preventive actions of suppliers.
- Early supplier involvementsupporting the global supplier quality team in the product development process
- Planning and execution ofregular supplier audits
- Proactive collaboration with aglobal team and internal customers
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree orequivalent in an engineering/technical field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in productionmethods of sand / hand mold castings and heavy machining
- Basic knowledge in NDT,especially in ultrasonic testing
- At least 5+ years of relevantprofessional experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, orpurchasing. Several years of experience in the qualification of suppliers
- Profound knowledge in theapplication of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
- Knowledge of related ISO &ASME Standards
- Proficient usage of MS Officeapplications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
- Very good collaboration, presentation,and communication skills
- Basic commercial knowledge
- Business fluent in written andspoken English
- Willingness to travel,nationally and internationally
